WANNABE ON YOUR SHOES: Jesús Terrés (Nada Importa)

AF-Jesus_00

AS: Which were your very first pair of proper shoes?
My first real shoes were a pair of Prada loafers from Cheapeau (Valencia).

AS: Where do you keep your shoes at home?

Inside their boxes and with shoe trees. Shoes must be kept in the box, that is why the way brands design packaging is so important.

AS: How many pairs do you have?

Two years ago I decided to learn to live with few things and get rid of unimportant things. All in all, I have 5 pairs and a couple of sneakers.

AS: 3 things to have in mind when buying new shoes…
Quality of leather, sewing and -most important: storytelling.

AS: An absolute DO and an absolute DON’T
Always say YES to classic well-built models; well-done things always work and are a good deal. Say NO to cheap flashy trends.

AS: Your Andrés Sendra faves are…
Mine are a pair of suede Oxfords. They are absolutely amazing…

AS: Second most relevant accessory
First one for me is the watch. And then shoes.

AS: Do you have that special pair you would never get rid of?
(Almost) everything is dispensable, including shoes. That makes your decision even more important about things that make you happy. How many authentic shoes do we buy in our lives? Not more than five pairs, I reckon. That’s my point: life is too short to buy just ordinary things, shoes.

AS: 3 models that should be a must in any wardrobe
A pair of leather boots (how I fancy now when autumn days go shorter…), flat Oxfords (like your Evans) and loafers (I am Mediterranean, you know) as heterosexual as they can get…

AS: The model you would never ever wear is…
A pair of Vans. I am not a fucking hipster…

AS: If you were a shoe it would be…
My most iconic place is the Caleta beach in Cadiz (Spain). And you need no shoes on the sand…
